Grit and hardness
A coarser wheel removes steel faster, a finer wheel leaves a smoother finish. Many sharpeners use one wheel for profiling and repairs and another for the everyday sharpening of hockey skates.

Blademaster wheels such as the 8NLP, 8AXW, 8AS, 8GC, 8MXR, 8VBP and the open 8 Ruby fit Blademaster machines. SSM S-2 wheels come as S-2/60, S-2/HP70, S-2/ME60 and the S-2/KB80 super finish. Howies makes Ruby and Lime wheels.

Check the wheel diameter, width and bore of your machine before ordering. If you are not sure, send us the model of the machine and the code of your current wheel.
