It creates a fixed 5/8-inch, or 16 mm, radius of hollow, a popular sharpening depth that offers a balanced combination of bite and glide. The interchangeable Advantedge wheel format makes it easy to reproduce the same hollow consistently and switch to another sharpening radius when required.
