Blue Sports Slash Guard Hockey Wrist Guard

Blue Sports Slash Guard Hockey Wrist Guard is a wrap-around guard in soft-stretch terry cloth that closes with velcro, so you decide how snug it sits instead of hoping a fixed band happens to fit. It comes as a pair in one size, and the closure does the fine-tuning. That adjustability is the whole point: tighten it a touch for a game, loosen it for a relaxed skate, and set it so it stays where you put it.

Slashes tend to land on the forearm and wrist when your hands are busy: taking a pass on the backhand, battling for the puck at the side boards, tying up a stick in front of your own net. A wrap-around guard with the Blue Sports logo adds cover to that exposed area without changing how your gloves feel.

Once the elbow pads are on and before the gloves go on, wrap it, close the velcro with a firm but comfortable pull, then move your fingers and wrist through a few stickhandling motions. If the hand still moves freely and nothing slips, you have it right.
