Blue Sports Fitted Shorts Women Pelvic Senior Jock

Blue Sports Fitted Shorts Women Pelvic Senior Jock are a good first purchase for women starting hockey as adults, and there are more of you every season. Learn-to-play programmes for adult women fill up quickly, and the gear list can look intimidating at first. This one is easy: black fitted shorts with an integrated women's pelvic protector, Blue Sports branding and tabs on each leg for your socks.

Why start here? The protector is the piece people are least sure about, and having it built into a pair of shorts takes the guesswork away. You pull them on like any sports shorts, attach your socks to the tabs over your shin guards, and the rest of the gear goes on top in the usual order. The 85% polyester, 15% spandex fabric wicks moisture and has polyester mesh insertions, so a nervous first session leaves you a little less soaked.

After your first few sessions, you will also discover the post-game routine every player learns: bag open the moment you get home, shorts out and hung up to dry. Your car, your hallway and your teammates will all thank you for it.
