Description / Bauer Youth Garter Belt
Bauer Youth Garter Belt is BAUER’s standard garter belt for securely holding up socks, sized for the youngest players – the ones who still need a parent kneeling on the locker-room floor to help them dress. A sock sliding down mid-drill means a child stopping to tug at it while the rest of the group skates away.
The usual order goes like this: jock first, then the garter belt around the waist, shin guards on, socks pulled over the top and attached to the garter straps. Pants and skates come after. Once your child has done it with you a few times, it becomes part of the routine and the socks stop being a problem at all. The belt comes in two youth sizes, S-M and L-XL; one that sits snug at the waist does its job far better than one bought to grow into.
At this age everything gets wet, dropped and left behind at the rink at least once. Write your child’s name on the belt with a marker, and take it out of the bag after every session so it can dry.
