Bauer CUP AND SUPPORT Youth Jock

Bauer CUP AND SUPPORT Youth Jock is often the very first piece of real hockey protection a family buys, usually in the same week as the first pair of skates. It is a black supporter with a wide elastic waistband and straps, and the cup comes included in the box.

Two Bauer technologies are worth knowing about here, especially if you are the one driving home with the gear bag in the back seat. THERMO MAX+ moisture technology wicks sweat and reduces the moisture that builds up during a session, and HeiQ Fresh uses a recycled amino sugar polymer that neutralises odour molecules. In plain terms, the supporter is built to cope with a hot, sweaty little player.

A word for parents: kids sometimes resist wearing a cup because it feels strange at first. Explain that every player on the team wears one, from the youngest to the pros, and let them practise putting it on at home before the first session.
