Why referees need their own gear
A referee skates as much as a player but must not look bulky under the jersey. Referee protection is slimmer than player pads and fits under a referee jersey and pants.
Range
- Bauer Officials elbow pads.
- CCM EP elbow pads.
- CCM referee shin guards, shaped to sit under the referee pants.
Size
Choose by forearm length (elbow pads) and by the distance from knee to the top of the skate (shin guards), as with player pads. Charts are in the size guide.
Jerseys and pants are under referee pants and jerseys.
