Wheels

Inline wheels wear out faster than the skate itself. Indoor wheels are softer and grip a sports hall floor, outdoor wheels are harder and last longer on asphalt. Revision Variant wheels and the Bauer Court and Street wheels show the difference by name.

Chassis

The chassis holds the wheels. Mission Hi-Lo chassis use smaller wheels at the front and larger at the back, which tilts the skate forward. Bauer Flexlite chassis fit Bauer inline skates.

Bearings

Bearings sit inside each wheel. Clean them after riding in the rain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Check the wheel size your chassis takes (for example 72, 76 or 80 mm, or a Hi-Lo setup) and choose hardness by surface: softer wheels around 74A–76A for indoor floors, harder 82A–85A for outdoor asphalt.
ABEC is a precision rating – higher numbers mean tighter tolerances. For inline hockey, cleanliness and good lubrication matter more than the number itself. Clean bearings regularly, especially after skating on dusty or wet surfaces.
When it's cracked, bent or the axle holes are worn so the wheels wobble. Many players also upgrade the chassis to change their wheel setup or get a lighter, stiffer frame. Make sure the new chassis matches your boot's mounting pattern.
