Howies WAX Stick Wax

Howies WAX Stick Wax is the stick wax from Howies, the Michigan tape company, and a staple in plenty of hockey bags. It is a blend of soft microcrystalline and other waxes that you rub into the tape on your blade for better puck control and a tape job that lasts longer.

The tin is part of the appeal: the wax stays inside instead of smearing onto gloves and jerseys in the bag. Howies wax is also known for its smell, which many players come to associate with the rink. Rub it in after taping and add a little more whenever the tape starts to look dry.
