CCM KP 1.5 Youth Goal Knee Pads

CCM KP 1.5 Youth Goal Knee Pads are an entry-level CCM knee guard for the youngest goalies, from the earlier 1.5 series. For a child who is just starting in net, knee guards are one of the first pieces of goalie-specific protection worth buying, because young goalies spend a lot of time kneeling and sliding on the ice.

The guard covers the knee and the lower part of the thigh, the areas that land on the ice in the butterfly and that pucks can reach in the gap between the leg pad and the pants. The black design with red accents matches most kits.

Tips for parents: the guards should sit snugly so they don't rotate when your child moves, and they should not get in the way of the leg pad's knee area. Bring the leg pads along when you try them on, and dry the guards after every practice.
