If you are switching from player pants, the difference is clear: much heavier padding on the thighs and hips, dedicated cover for the kidneys and spine, and a cut that stays out of the way when you drop to the ice.

The thigh panels use Multi-Layer Stacked Protection, and the hip blocks are made with Dual Density Foam, foam in two densities that softens the hit from a puck. Volume Fit shapes the kidney and spinal section. Up front, the pelvic opening is closed with a skate lace, so you can tighten it over your goalie jock the same way you lace a boot.

The legs use Dynamic 2-flex protection that bends at the knee and holds removable pillows, and an internal loop ties the pants to your knee pads. The THERMOMAX liner and a removable internal comfort belt round out a straightforward, comfortable package for weekly hockey.
